Set in Oregon in 1850, Seven Brides For Seven Brothers is the story of Adam Pontipee and his six unkempt, burly brothers who, although banished from town, kidnap seven townswomen for the winter. As in all the best love stories- this time seven love stories!- everything ends happily. This MGM classic features the songs "Bless Your Beautiful Hide", "Wonderful, Wonderful Day", "Sobbin' Women", and "Spring, Spring, Spring". (rated G)

This was a fun-to-watch, amusing play, with a touch of heartfelt romance. I saw the Saturday matinee performance. It included well-performed dance numbers and incredible singing. Lyric's Performance of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers was one of the most enjoyable theater outings of the season.
