May 5, 2008— Tickets are now on sale for the 8th annual Mark Harmon “Pitch In for Kids” celebrity baseball game to benefit The Children’s Center in Bethany, Oklahoma. This year, the game between Mark Harmon’s celebrity friends and the OSSO Outlaws from OSSO Healthcare Network features high-profile players like Dallas Cowboys safety, Roy Williams and other NFL and NBA celebrities.
“We’ve got a lineup like never before,” said Dr. Michael Wright of the OSSO Healthcare Network. “This year’s event will be bigger, better, and always loaded with fun.”
The game takes place in a fun, family friendly atmosphere at 3pm on Saturday, May 31st at the AT&T Bricktown Ballpark. Pre-game events begin around 2:30pm. The purchase of a regular price game ticket also allows entry into the Oklahoma RedHawks game at 7:05pm. Tickets are now available through the RedHawks’ box office, (405) 218-1000.
Mark Harmon’s “Pitch in for Kids” benefits patients at The Children’s Center, a private non-profit hospital serving children with complex medical and physical disabilities.
Celebrity friends accompanying Harmon, star of CBS’ NCIS, include Hollywood producer/director Frank Marshall, and major league baseball veteran Wally Joyner. Marshall’s box office hits include “The Bourne Ultimatum,” The Bourne Supremacy,” “Seabiscuit,” and this year’s sure-to-be blockbuster “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.”
The Bombers’ competition – the OSSO Outlaws – is made up of Oklahoma physicians and staff members who work at the medical organization. OSSO serves as the primary sponsor and producer of this fundraising event and has raised more than $1 million for The Children’s Center in the past seven years.
Sponsorships for the event are available and include the opportunity to participate in the Friday night invitation only “Stars and Strikes” event – activities include a bowling tournament, a poker casino night, food from select Oklahoma restaurants and live and silent auction packages. Please contact Ken Talton at (405) 419-7994 for more information regarding sponsorships.
The Children’s Center, a private, non-profit pediatric hospital, is dedicated to helping children with complex medical and physical disabilities maximize their potential. In an atmosphere of love and hope, the Center provides medical and respiratory care, rehabilitative therapies, and special education to youth and children, both inpatients and outpatients.
