Students meet offsite at Blue Sage Studios for a recap on safety and studio procedures, as well as the process of working with glass. Next we’ll cover the basics of the blowing process, exploring how shape and movement dictate the nature of the vessel created, and then begin blowing glass and adding color to our vessels. Shapes, colors, utility, and art will be the major areas of focus, as you learn how to attach feet and lip wraps. A glassblowing intensive workshop is a required prerequisite for this class. Fee includes $10 materials charge.
